Saturday’s offering on the BTTS & Win coupon is a huge 90/1 shot with BetVictor that takes in a combination of league and cup matches. Let’s hope it can provide us with a second huge winner in a matter of weeks.
All we need is our three chosen teams to win their respective matches without conceding, and we’ll be up £900 from a modest £10 stake.
That has to be worth a punt!
Wigan Athletic v Nottingham Forest
FA Cup weekend promises to serve up bags of excitement and goals could well be on the cards as Wigan welcome fellow Championship strugglers Nottingham Forest to the DW Stadium. And with both teams looking to avoid a replay, we’d like to think there will be a winner on the day.
Goals have been a common feature for Forest this term, not least on the road where they’ve scored 16 and conceded 26 in 13 games. Meanwhile, the distraction of the cup could be exactly what Philippe Montainer’s men need to end their current losing streak. With a number of attacking options at their disposal, they should be confident against a team that are having an even worse season than they are.
Wigan have really struggled since regaining their place in the Championship, and have lost seven of their 12 home games this term. Despite scoring just eight goals, though, the likes of Will Grigg can be quietly confident about getting Warren Joyce’s side on the scoreboard.
They have already lost 4-3 to Forest this season, however, and another BTTS defeat isn’t unlikely once more.

Bristol Rovers v Northampton Town
The dream of a third successive promotion is slowly fading for Bristol Rovers, but the Gas will still be eager to win their first home game of 2017. Against Northampton, they’ll have every chance of doing just that.
Darrell Clarke’s hosts have won seven of their 13 home games, losing just three in spite of conceding 19. That’s because they’ve also scored 24 times at the Memorial, which makes them a very solid bet on the BTTS & Win coupon – especially as Matt Taylor has 15 goals for the season.
Moreover, the visitors have scored 16 but conceded 18 on their travels. Robert Page’s men have additionally lost four of their last five competitive matches. Even with Alex Revell and Marc Richards ready to cause problems in the attacking third, it’s hard to see them overcoming the Pirates.
Rovers won the reverse meeting 3-2 at the Sixfields. A similar result in this one would suit us just fine.

Stevenage v Newport County
It has been a strange season for League Two outfit Stevenage, who are performing far better on the road than they are at home. Having said that, Saturday’s clash against rock-bottom Newport could be the perfect opportunity to register an important win at the Lamex – even if they are unlikely to have everything their own way.
Results might be lacking at home for Darren Sarll’s men, but the hosts have still scored 21 goals in 21 games. Matt Godden and co. should fancy their chances against the EFL’s bottom side, who have lost seven of 12 away games, leaking 18 goals in the process.
Having said that, the hosts have also conceded 25 home goals, which should give the Welsh visitors hope of increasing their tally of 13 away goals. Even so, the hosts have to be fancied for the three points, especially as they’ve already claimed a 2-0 away win against them this season.
After losing three straight games, Stevenage might not keep a clean sheet. However, their superior quality should allow them to find a return to winning ways.
