The football season is in full swing now, and teams are starting to find their form. So the big question on Saturday is simple: which games should you include on your BTTS coupon.
We’ve picked three games which we think will bring goals. With a payout of just over 4/1, it would be a great way to get the weekend up and running in style. It doesn’t matter who wins and loses, we just need all six teams to score.
Good luck!
Nottingham Forest v Norwich City
Nobody could accuse Nottingham Forest of being boring this season as their first seven matches have seen the reds both score and concede 15 times. The action should continue as they welcome Norwich to the City Ground.
The Canaries themselves have scored 11 and conceded eight this season, with Alex Neil’s men looking far more confident in attack than defence. The quality of Steven Naismith and Cameron Jerome gives them a fantastic chance of goals while midfielders Jonny Howson and Jacob Murphy have been chipping in with the goals too.
Philippe Montainer’s hosts have plenty of attacking options themselves, though, particularly now that Nicklas Bendtner has joined Britt Assombalonga and co. Forest have managed a minimum of three goals in every home game this season and, while this test will be harder, they’ll be expecting to score once again.
Everything points towards a game of goals; let’s hope it pans out as expected.

Grimsby Town v Crewe Alexandra
In League Two, Steven Davis’s Crewe have made a very positive start to the campaign as they look to fight for immediate promotion back to League One, and they’ll be extremely confident about registering another crucial win with this weekend’s trip to Blundell Park. However, they shouldn’t expect things all their own way against a plucky Grimsby.
The newly promoted hosts have adapted well to life back in the Football League, with Paul Hurst’s side scoring an impressive eight goals in just three home matches. Meanwhile, striker Omar Bogle has looked particularly dangerous with a return of seven in seven, and the hosts will be looking towards his direction for further inspiration here.
Grimsby have conceded four goals at home, though, while their last seven competitive fixtures have ended in BTTS winners. Given that high-flying Crewe are in fantastic spirits and have the firepower of Andrew Kiwomya and Ryan Lowe, we can expect another entertaining affair.
Both teams will fancy their chances of getting a positive result, but they might have to settle for a point apiece. As long as they both score in the process, we couldn’t care less.

Lincoln City v Barrow
Danny Cowley will have been very disappointed with his team’s inability to score against 10-man Solihull on Tuesday night, but the Conference National leaders are unlikely to make a similar error against Barrow. But that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re guaranteed the win.
After all, Paul Cox’s visitors are in fantastic form and make the trip to Sincil Bank having picked up 11 points from the last available 15. Barrow have also scored in eight consecutive matches, and will be looking to Byron Harrison and Richie Bennett for further inspiration on Saturday.
Nevertheless, Lincoln have already netted 14 home goals in spite of Tuesday’s blank. It’s hard to see Matt Rhead and co. suffering a repeat feat here, we’re just hoping that their defence allows the visitors to get on the scoresheet too.
Last season’s corresponding fixture ended in a 2-2 draw. Let’s hope for more of the same in this one.
