Another winner at Goals Galore over the weekend brings us ample of confidence in beating those bookies once more. Plenty of midweek action in the Premier League and Championship gives us a huge choice to pick from and i think we have found another winning both teams to score treble. Check it out…
Ipswich Town v Blackburn Rovers – 7.45pm Tuesday – 4/5
Ipswich Town and Blackburn Rovers are locked together on 23 points ahead of their meeting at the Portman Road and are competing in a group of teams in mid table who are all looking in the direction of the top of the table rather than being worried about the bottom. Two or three wins in a row and you find yourself competing in the Play Offs. Both sides will be after the three points on offer.
Blackburn come in to the game with an abysmal record of conceding at least one goal in every single away match so far this season. Fortunately for Rovers they have forward players with fire power, and Jordan Rhodes is the jewel in the crown. Heaps of clubs from the top flight are vying for his services and while he is at Blackburn they will find the net. Blackburn have already scored in difficult away games this season including goals against Wigan, Burnley, Derby and Leicester and i can’t see them failing to find the net here.
Ipswich have home advantage however they have failed to find a victory in three games at Portman Road and will be aiming to turn that round on Tuesday night. The Tractor Boys do however have a strong goal scoring record and have only failed to score once this season at home and that was against high flying Burnley in a 1-0 defeat. I believe this game could go either way but confident there will be goals from Ipswich.
Millwall v Nottingham Forest – 7.45pm Tuesday – 8/11
Nottingham Forest face a trip to Millwall at The Den on Tuesday night where two managers under pressure go head to head. Billy Davies and Steve Lomas can both hear the knives sharpening and nothing but a win will be acceptable to the fans in this mid week cracker. We are taking full advantage of that here at Goals Galore.
Millwall are sitting just outside the relegation zone in 17th place and many would argue that the only thing that may save them from playing in League One next season is that there are three worse sides in the Championship. Manager Steve Lomas was not a popular appointment and he has yet been able to win over the fans. Millwall suffered a 3-0 defeat at the weekend and before that they registered a 1-0 victory over fellow strugglers Barnsley and this was even seen as rather fortuitous. The manager needs a convincing win and will go all out to get it here, The Den attracts goals with over 2.5 goals landing five times already. I can see that happening again with both sides getting in on the action.
Nottingham Forest have now dropped out of the Play Off places having won just a single game in six and if it wasn’t for a shock 2-0 away win over Leicester, manager Billy Davies may have been out of a job. A win here for the manager is vital to stop the rot and get their promotion campaign back on track. A lovely stat for us is that The Reds have scored at least once in every away game this season and I cannot see this record stopping against this Millwall side.
Swansea City v Newcastle United – 7.45pm Wednesday – 4/6
A fascinating match greets us at the Liberty Stadium with these two sides coming in to the fixture on different form. Swansea are struggling to contend with domestic duties on top of their schedule in Europe, whereas Newcastle are on a great run having won their last four matches.
Swansea took a bit of a hiding on Sunday losing 3-0 at the Etihad however this was against a Manchester City side who have been annihilating everyone at home with big score lines. Despite the result Swansea looked dangerous at times but couldn’t quite convert and now up against a Newcastle side with a leaky defence, I can see the Swans benefitting from this. Their last visitors were Stoke City and that finished 3-3, I could easily see a similar scoreline on Wednesday
As mentioned, Newcastle are on a nice run of form and they have also scored two or more goals in eight of their last ten Premier League matches, so spirits will be very high. This is a great fixture for our bet as the Magpies have quality in attacking areas having scored 19 goals this season but lack in the defensive apartment making them susceptible to concede. The Toon will be ever so confident to make it five wins in a row and you can bank on them to score.
