Both teams not to score.. The bet where as long as at least one team per match fails to score a goal makes you a winner. I’ve always been a fan of this bet, and it makes for a fun accumulator. What we are looking for here are reasons to believe that a game may be low scoring, have limited goalscoring chances, and in an ideal world have a great chance of finishing 0-0, or be a very lopsided affair where there’s a big underdog.
Here are my selections for Tuesday’s fixture card:
FC Copenhagen v Juventus 7.45pm
Both teams NOT to score odds: 8/11 Paddy Power
FC Copenhagen are really struggling domestically this season. With 8 games played they have amassed just 7 points so far (W1 D4 L3). Tuesday night they face a Juventus side that already look much better this season than last.
Juve’s last 7 Champions League games have resulted in just one team scoring (winning 4 and losing 2). Copenhagen won’t be able to live with Juve’s quality, and Juve will be looking for a defensively solid start to this seasons Champions League campaign. I just can’t see the host scoring here so it makes an ideal selection for both teams not to score.
Bolton v Derby County 7.45pm
Both teams NOT to score odds: 11/10 Paddy Power
Bolton are having a truly dreadful time so far this season and genuinely don’t look like scoring a goal at the moment. 6 games in they’ve scored just 3 goals and have failed to score in 2 of their 3 home games to date (losses to QPR and Leeds, both 0-1).
Derby visit the Reebok on Tuesday night in great from on the road. They’re 100% so far away from home and look a constant attacking threat as well as being pretty solid at the back. Bolton are really struggling at the moment and I’m not sure they’ll have too much of the ball in this game, making it a good selection for both teams not to score.
