So, we’re a few games in to the new season, and the first thing that a punter should want to do is get familiar with what’s going on around them.. That’s no different when it comes to betting on the over 2.5 goals market. I’m going to go through the movers and shakers so far this season as one of the most important factors with over 2.5 goals is form.
Let’s take a little look at the teams worth having on your side right now (September 14th 2015).
Team: Chelsea
Current over 2.5 record: 5/5 (100%)
Five games into the season and ALL of Chelsea’s games have hit over 2.5 goals. Here it’s for all the wrong reasons though.
Who’d of imagined that Chelsea would accumulate just 4 points from their opening 5 games? 8 goals scored, yet 12 conceded.
The Blues are struggling defensively and are well worthy of the notebook just now. They are always capable of goals such is the talent at their disposal, but their defence is looking extremely shaky.
Look to back overs in Chelsea games at the moment until they show signs of improvement at the back.
Team: Bayern Munich
Current over 2.5 record: 4/4 (100%)
No surprises here really. Bayern have hit the ground running this season and have already hit Hamburg with a 5-0 thrashing as well as a 3-0 mauling of Leverkusen.
What I would say about them though is that you should look carefully at their opponents if you are thinking of backing over 2.5 goals when Bayern are playing away from home. They tend to keep things quite tight before taking the lead.
