Chelsea v Man Utd
Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea sit atop the Premier League standings and are seven points clear of second placed Arsenal and eight points ahead of third placed Manchester united, with City’s dire form moving them down to fourth.
Louis van Gaal’s Red Devils put hapless City to the sword in last weekend’s derby, winning 4-2 at Old Trafford. If United have any chance of catching Chelsea, then, they need to beat them this weekend to reduce the gap to five points.
Mourinho, who’s not afraid to be pragmatic in big games, might be happy with a draw to maintain that gap, but whilst the Blues have played one game less in comparison to Man U and Arsenal, there’s obviously also the opportunity to stretch their lead even further too.
So, if we deduce that Man U surely have to attack and try to win, that should open the game up, and since both teams scored in the reverse fixture earlier this season, coupled with BTTS Yes in four out of Chelsea’s last six at home games and four of Man U’s last six away for a 66.7% strike rate for each, we should have a good chance of seeing both score on Saturday evening.

Willem II v Groningen
Eredivise side Willem II are currently eighth in the complicated Dutch playoff system, which means that they’d gain the final Europa League playoff qualifying slot if the season ended now. With Cambuur and Groningen level on points with them, though, Willem II are far from home and dry and will target winning their remaining home games.
Groningen, of course, will want to win this weekend’s tie, but certainly not lose it, against Willem ll and stats wise both teams scored in five of their last six away games for an 83.3% strike rate, with five of their last six overall games also seeing both teams score. With Willem ll having a four of their last six at home and four out of last six overall BTTS Yes strike rate for 66%, it’s good enough for an acca pick.

1860 Munich v Bochum
A pick in the Bundesliga II now, and fifteenth placed 1860 Munich have a very strong BTTS Yes home record in their last six home games with five out of six seeing both teams score for an 83.3% strike rate.
Mid-table Bochum, on the other hand, have seen five of their last six away games result in both teams scoring for the same 83.3% strike rate. A short preview indeed, but this is purely a pick based on stats and looks like a good one.
