When selecting a goals galore game, there’s many different dynamics that make a match more/less likely to see both teams score such as league position, form etc.
One of the most profitable goals galore selections is when two teams who are struggling and/or fighting for their lives to stay in the division and it’s at this stage of the season that these sorts of games are ripe and plentiful, here’s just three that should see both teams on the score sheet:
QPR vs Sunderland
A resurgent QPR side under the stewardship of Harry Houdini have belatedly put themselves into contention for what would be a famous escape from relegation. The West Londoners have lost just twice in their last 8 league outings but too many draws could cost them and they’ll be all out for the win here, we could see a similar scoreline to their 2-1 win at Southampton last weekend. Sunderland arrive at Loftus Road on the back of a 2-2 draw with Fulham and have both scored and conceded in 3 of their last 4, they’ll be desperate for a result here to try and pull away from the relegation-threatened pack.
Reading vs Aston Villa
Second from bottom Royals host third-bottom Villa in another fixture that just screams goals. Reading haven’t stopped scoring and conceding all season and have obliged with both teams scoring in 5 of their last 6. They wont dry up in front of a packed home crowd in this huge relegation 6-pointer. Villa looked impressive against City but again came away empty handed, they’ve scored and conceded in 10 of their last 12 games and another goal fest here looms large.
Norwich vs Southampton
Quite simply, a home win will all but guarantee survival for the Canaries here but Pochettino’s Saints will see this as a game they can win as they look to escape the relegation dog-fight. Southampton have scored and conceded in each of their last 5 games, which yielded 20 goals between them, averaging 4 per game. With both sides no doubt labelling this as a game they must win, we will no doubt see plenty of goals at Carrow Road. At least one apiece, just like the last time these sides met in November, would be perfect for us GG fans.
