Midweek football. Capital One Cup. Normally the perfect mix of goals and teams you couldn’t predict the starting line up of in a million years! However, tonight’s games have thrown up a couple of good bets in my opinion, and I’ll be looking to make some nice profit tonight.
We all know the League Cup isn’t a priority for most teams, but nevertheless there is plenty of scope for goals and entertainment. Here are my selections for Tuesday’s action:
Aston Villa v Tottenham 7.45pm
Bet – Tottenham over 1.5 team goals – Evens
Tottenham have been flying in the early stages of this season, and AVB’s men can continue their great form in this Capital One Cup clash with Villa tonight.
The home side are fairly ravaged by injuries, and doubtful players for tonight’s match include talismanic strikers Christian Benteke and Gabriel Agbonlahor. as well as Antonio Luna and Fabien Delph who picked up knocks at the weekend.
Tottenham are highly likely to shuffle the team which beat Cardiff in Wales on Sunday, but the strength in depth they have available to them should ensure that they remain constant threats in front of goal.
Even money for 2 goals to bes scored by a team that look so dangerous at present looks a real gift considering their opponents are struggling with a mounting injury list.
Watford v Norwich 7.45pm
Bet – Norwich under 1.5 team goals – 4/6
Norwich are in desperate need of goals but I just don’t see them finding the net more than once for their visit to Vicarage Road for this League Cup match.
The Canaries have lost 3 of their last 4 games in the Premier League, scoring just 1 goal in the process, and with Watford playing a decent standard of football which could well see them playing in the top flight next term, the visitors won’t get any respite.
Watford are unbeaten at home this season and haven’t conceded more than 1 goal at Vicarage Road this term.
