Another weekend an hopefully a few more pounds to be earned. I’ve been studying the formbook hard this midweek and I’m hoping I can come up with 2 from 2 this weekend.
Of my two picks this weekend I just can’t see either of them failing. From a value point of view my second tip looks fantastic.
Take a little look my picks for Saturday with a couple of stats to back them up:
A great new customer offer from the home of UK betting
Hull City v West Ham 3.00pm
Bet – Hull under 1.5 team goals – 8/15 Ladbrokes
A game between two teams that do their best to keep things tight, and I really can’t see the home side scoring any more than 1 goal. Hull will be more than pleased with their 3-2 victory in last weekend’s clash with Newcastle at St.James Park, while West Ham will still be angry with the 2 late goals they conceded in their 3-2 loss against Everton. However now is the time for both teams to sure up their defences, and this should be the game for it.
Until last weekend West Ham had kept 3 clean sheets in their 4 prior league games (Southampton, Newcastle and Cardiff) and I’m tipping them to keep things tight at the KC.
Some stats that back up my selection:
- West Ham have conceded an average of 0.8 goals per game so far
- Hull have scored more than 1 goal in just 1 of their 5 Premier League matches
- West Ham are yet to concede an away goal this season
Watford v Wigan 3.00pm
Bet – Watford to score over 1.5 team goals – 10/11
I rate Watford a great bet to score 2 goals or more at home to Wigan this weekend. The Hornets have the Championship’s most attacking side at the moment with 19 goals scored after 8 games, and they were unlucky to be knocked out of the League Cup after their 3-2 loss to Norwich (aet).
Watford will score goals wherever they go this season such is their attacking mentality under the guidance of Ginafranco Zola, and Wigan, who are struggling with a few important injuries shouldn’t be able to control the home team’s advances.
Stats to back up my selection:
- Watford have scored 2 or more goals in 10 of their last 15 home games
- Watford average 2.5 home goals scored so far this season
