It’s the end of the month, and we’re hoping that the BTTS & Win coupon will provide the perfect finish with this huge 71/1 treble.
We’re backing three teams to win their matches, but they must each concede for our bet to be a winner. Should the three selections come in, though, the Saturday night celebrations will be better than ever.
For the sake of a tenner, it’s gotta be worth a punt!
Manchester United v Crystal Palace
After failing to score in the opening six games of the season, things look pretty ominous for Crystal Palace ahead of their trip to Old Trafford. However, they’ve got to break their duck at some point, and we’re backing them to do it sooner rather than later.
A goal would signal a first milestone for new boss Roy Hodgson and his side have shown an ability to find the target in the Carabao Cup. But even if they do find first league goal of the campaign, it’s hard to see them challenging for the points.
Jose Mourinho’s men have been rampant at the Theatre of Dreams, and can look to Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial, and a host of other stars for goals. After hitting 10 in their opening three home games, they should be more than capable of getting two or more here.
Given that Palace are likely to score one at most, 12/5 looks a very reasonable price indeed.
Forest Green Rovers v Accrington Stanley
Things haven’t been easy for Forest Green since becoming a Football League outfit, but they do still tend to score at the New Lawn. A BTTS winner couple with a match result loss could be on the cards as they take on an in-form Accrington Stanley.
Mark Cooper’s men have lost six of their last seven league games while the visitors boast three wins from five on their travels. Having picked up seven points form their last three games alone, John Coleman’s Stanley will be fancied to remain in the automatic promotion spots.
The goals of Billy Kee and Kayden Jackson should certainly give the away side a great chance of winning against a home team that’s already leaked 11 goals on their own patch. Still, the fact that they’ve shipped eight in five on the road, should give Forest Green a good chance of improving their return of seven at home.
An away win looks likely given their respective form. Hopefully the hosts can still score.
Gateshead v Boreham Wood
National League side Gateshead have been a real Jekyll & Hyde team this season. While their away form has cost them dearly, their home form has been impressive. They’ve picked up four wins (plus a draw) and 10 goals from six. This should give them immense confidence as they bid for another win against Boreham Wood.
The hosts have plenty of firepower in Daniel Johnson, Jordan Burrow and Richard Peniket. When coupled with the fact Boreham Wood have leaked 10 on the road, Neil Aspin should be confident about grabbing the win.
Gateshead’s defensive record has been particularly good too. Having conceded just three times at home, it’s difficult to see them conceding more than once, especially against a team that’s lost three of its last five. The visitors have scored 10 away goals this season, though, so it wouldn’t be at all surprising if they do find the target here.
Back both teams to score, but with the hosts securing the points.
