Wednesday’s Champions League offering is probably the most exciting night of this year’s competition so far, and we’re looking to capitalise on the excitement with this BTTS treble.
At 16/5, the treble wouldn’t be our biggest winner ever. But all six teams will have more than enough reason to fancy their chances of goals, so let’s hope they don’t disappoint.
Good luck!
Manchester City V Barcelona
The standout fixture of this week’s Champions League comes straight from the Etihad Stadium, where Pep Guardiola takes on former employers Barcelona in what has the makings of a classic. If it loves up to expectations, this should be a BTTS winner with plenty of time to play.
Both Manchester City and Barcelona will have ambitions of going all the way in this year’s competition, and the respective attacking units have plenty of goals in them. Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling, David Silva, and Kevin De Bruyne face off against Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Luis Suarez in what should be a thrilling spectacle from start to finish. And we can hardly wait.
The Citizens have already scored seven after just two games while Barcelona hit that many in one match against Celtic. The visitors also scored twice in Germany three weeks ago and will almost certainly keep their incredible record going.
Both teams play an attractive style of play and they’ll be equally desperate to take the advantage in the race for top spot in Group C. The BTTS selection might not offer the best odds, but we do expect it to win.

Celtic V Borussia Monchengladbach
Celtic may have been humiliated at the Camp Nou on matchday one, but a credible draw against Manchester City gives them a fighting chance of claiming a Europa League spot from what is easily this year’s group of death. But they’ll need a big result on Wednesday to keep those hopes alive.
Brendan Rodgers’ men will be quietly confident too. The SPL champions have scored at least twice in every home game this season while Monchengladbach have shipped 12 in their last four on the road, including four at the Etihad in this competition.
The Germans are a strong outfit, though, and will be considered favourites. The likes of Thorgan Hazard and Raffael have more than enough quality to punish Celtic’s defensive vulnerabilities, and it would be a surprise if they fail to find the target.
With the atmosphere of Celtic Park behind them, the hosts should get on the scoresheet too.

Napoli V Besiktas
In Group B, Italian side Napoli are well on their way to booking a place in the last 16 as they enter matchday three with a maximum six points. Maurizio Sarri’s men will be confident about picking up another win at Stadio San Paolo, but they shouldn’t expect things all their own way against Besiktas.
The hosts should score. Even with Arkadiusz Milik missing through injury, Napoli have plenty of firepower in the form of Jose Callejon and Manolo Gabbiadini. Having scored six in their opening two, they shouldn’t have too many problems against an away team that’s conceded in both of its opening matches.
Senol Gunes’s men have drawn 1-1 in both of their games, though, and know a win here would put them in contention for topping the group. Cenk Tosun and Vincent Aboubakar will take the chances should they arrive, and we’re backing the Turks to find the target.
Whether that’ll be enough to secure any points is a different question. As long as Napoli find the target too, we couldn’t really care.
