What better way to start the month of March than by turning £10 into over £900? That’s exactly what we’re aiming to do with this BTTS & Win treble on Tuesday.
We’re backing three home teams from the Football League to claim crucial victories, but are also hoping that none of them keep a clean sheet.
Fingers crossed for a monumental boom!
Middlesbrough V Millwall
Two defeats in three has got the alarm bells ringing around the Riverside Stadium but high-flying Middlesbrough should get their Championship title bid back on track with three points over struggling Millwall. However, the hosts have been vulnerable in recent matches and the visiting Lions can cause problems.
Middlesbrough have been very strong at the Riverside his season, with only Derby winning more home games in the division, and that should precipitate into another win for Aitor Karanka’s men. With a frontline of Kike, Patrick Pamford and Lee Tomlin, the home side certainly boasts enough firepower to tame the Lions.
Millwall, on the other hand, have won just four times on the road. Additionally, their current struggles have seen them fall into the bottom three, whilst Saturday’s loss at Rotherham has only further damaged their chances of survival. A seemingly inevitable loss at Middlesbrough could essentially prove to be the final nail in Ian Holloway’s coffin.
However, the Lions have scored in each of their past two matches and we think they can do so again here. Unfortunately, it won’t be enough to seal any points or help them in their futile bid for survival.
BTTS & Middlesbrough Win @ 16/5
Preston North End V Doncaster Rovers
Simon Grayson’s Preston have really hit form at the right time as they look to gain promotion from League One and the promotion hopefuls will be gunning for a fourth straight win against Doncaster.
The visitors are one of the division’s better outfits and will give Preston a competitive contest. However, the high-flying Lilywhites boast real quality all over the park and also have the strikers ready to put Donny to the sword. Joe Garner has been particularly impressive this term and could be the man to fire the hosts to another crucial win.
Preston’s last four wins have all come via clean sheets but we do think Doncaster can end that run of shutouts. Paul Dickov’s men have 24 away goals to their name, but the 21 conceded could be a problem against one of the league’s in-form sides.
This is the standout fixture from Tuesday’s League One action and we’re predicting plenty of drama. However, on this occasion, we’re backing the hosts to edge this intriguing affair.
BTTS & Preston Win @ 13/4
Dagenham & Redbridge V Hartlepool United
Hartlepool United enjoyed a rare win on Saturday, beating AFC Wimbledon at Victoria Park. However, the struggling Pool remain rooted to the foot of the Football League and still require a minor miracle to beat the drop.
Unfortunately for the visitors, Dagenham won’t be willing to surrender this chance of vital points without a real fight. Wayne Burnett’s home side are just four points above the relegation zone and will be desperate for three points here. That should force them into an attack-minded approach and that can hopefully lead to goals for the Daggers.
Hartlepool shouldn’t be ruled out completely, though, especially as they’ve scored in three of their past four. Nevertheless, the second worst defensive record in the division is unlikely to keep a crucial clean sheet and that could cost them dearly at Victoria Road.
It will be an intense occasion for two equally desperate sides but we think home advantage will give Dagenham the impetus. Back them to win, but with Hartlepool to score.
