It’s the final weekend of Football League action for 2014/15 and we’re looking to celebrate by scooping a huge £725 profit from a simple £10 stake.
We’re combining two selections from the Football League with one from the Premier League in this tempting 72/1 treble and are optimistic that they can provide us with a perfect start to what will hopefully be a very rewarding May.
Good luck!
Swansea City V Stoke City
Garry Monk’s Swansea have been one of the Premier League’s surprise packages in 2014/15 and are still in the hunt of securing Europa League qualification. However, they could be in for an intense battle against an equally confident Stoke.
October’s reverse clash at the Britannia ended in a 2-1 win for the Potters and, like Swansea, Mark Hughes’ men are closing in on their best ever Premier League points return. The visitors have scored a total of 39 goals this season, with each of their past five matches ending in BTTS winners. Whilst they should expect to find the target again, we have to lean towards a home victory.
The Swans boast 23 goals and eight wins at the Liberty this season and additionally enter this clash on the back of an exciting 3-2 away victory at Newcastle. Even with Bafetimbi Gomis missing through injury, their firepower should guide the hosts to three points.
This should be a close fought battle but we’re backing the Swans to prevail. Nevertheless, the Potters can expect to score.
BTTS & Swansea Win @ 4/1
Norwich City V Fulham (12:15PM)
Alex Neil’s Canaries might have missed out on automatic promotion to the Premier League but they’ll be eager to rebuild some momentum heading into the play-offs by firing several past lowly Fulham at Carrow Road.
A return of 46 goals in 22 home games would suggest that Norwich will find goals against the Championship’s second worst defence. However, the Cottagers are in great form following a five-game unbeaten run and should fancy their chances of adding to the 60 they’ve already scored this term.
Nonetheless, it’s hard to see a team that’s only won five on the road getting a big result against a side sitting fourth in the league table. Meanwhile, Norwich have the extra incentive of wanting to bounce back from their recent home loss to Middlesbrough, which could be bad news for the visitors.
Fulham registered a 1-0 win back at Craven Cottage but we think the Canaries will sing to victory here.
BTTS & Norwich Win @ 5/2
Cambridge United V Burton Albion
Burton Albion have already secured promotion to League One but Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink’s men will be determined to seal their League Two title with a final day win at Cambridge. However, the Brewers cannot afford any complacency against a useful U’s outfit.
Richard Money’s men might be sitting in the bottom half but it has been a decent first year back in the Football League for Cambridge and their fans certainly won’t moan at a return of 32 goals at the Abbey. However, they have shipped 30 at home and the league leaders will be expected to punish the leaky U’ backline.
The Brewers have won 11 games on the road, notching an impressive 32 goals in the process, and should end their season by completing a 12-game unbeaten streak. It is worth noting they’ve not kept a clean sheet in three matches, though, and Hasselbaink might need Lucas Akins and co to hit several goals to seal their title. Fortunately for the visitors, that potent attacking unit is more than capable.
Four of Cambridge’s last five home games have ended in BTTS winners and we’d expect that run to continue on the final day. However, the extra incentive for victory should inspire Burton to grab the win.
