The weekend hits us with so much football and games where we can see goals going in all over the place- we are hoping to take advantage with our huge priced treble where we predict games where both teams score and there is a winner. Look what we have gone for….
Cardiff City v Liverpool – 3.00pm Saturday
Liverpool to win and BTTS is 9/5 with Ladbrokes
Cardiff City know the clock is ticking and they require a serious number of victories to get themselves out of the bottom three and into safety before the end of the season. Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s job does not get easier this weekend either as they welcome an in form Liverpool side. A vital victory over bottom of the league Fulham two weeks ago, boosted morale at the club and gave everyone the belief they could get out of this. Last weekend a last minute winner for Everton from Seamus Coleman dented that morale and they will need to pick themselves quickly to avoid a thrashing from Luis Suarez and friends. Each home game will be treated like a Cup final and even though i think this may be a comfy win for Liverpool I fully expect Cardiff to score.
Liverpool have won five games in a row now are showing absolutely no signs of slowing down. This run of form has hit at the perfect time as we reach the latter stages of the season with Liverpool in with a chance of winning the title if they can build on recent results. Heading to Old Trafford and leaving with a 3-0 victory shows the sort of side, manager Brendan Rodgers has created. It is one filled with players who run with pace at oppositions defences with and without the ball and finding goals are never a problem. The Reds should have far too much for this Cardiff side and I am predicting a 3-1 victory.
Everton v Swansea City – 3.00pm Saturday
Everton to win and BTTS is 5/2 with Ladbrokes
Everton left it late last week at home to Cardiff. A 90th minute goal from Seamus Coleman sealed all three points with the game finishing 2-1 to the Toffees. Everton will want to make sure the job is done before injury time here against a Swansea side struggling for confidence as they slip into a relegation battle. Roberto Martinez has spoken about rotation in the lead up to a busy schedule but fortunately for Evertonians, they have the squad to accommodate that. Quality is found throughout the side with Kevin Mirallas, Ross Barkley, Leon Osman, Aidan McGeady and Gerard Deulofeu all fighting it out for places in the midfield. I full believe Everton have enough quality and determination to get all three points at Goodison Park.
Swansea outrageously threw away a 1-0 lead at home to struggling West Brom last Saturday and the 2-1 defeat may come back to haunt them if they continue to draw blanks and slide closer and closer to the abyss that is relegation. Playing away to Everton is never ideal when you are in the hunt for points but Swansea will have to find goals from somewhere as another defeat isn’t good enough. With Swansea needing points i can see them going out for a win and at least scoring but up verses this well organised Everton outfit they are likely to fall short.
Leeds United v Millwall – 3.00pm Saturday
Leeds to win and BTTS is 10/3 with Ladbrokes
The carnage and chaos behind the scenes at Leeds United is without doubt affecting performances on the pitch. No win in six matches has even seen some of the fans starting to turn against manager Brian McDermott who is a popular manager and it is clear that the players are in support of the former Reading boss. Up against free falling Millwall is the most ideal opportunity for Leeds to stop their dreadful run. Ross McCormack is the leagues top scorer with 24 goals and is unlikely to be caught. A deadline deal move to West Ham almost went through but he stuck by his manager and I expect him to do so again here and bag a few goals.
Millwall are also on a horrible run as well and apart from a 1-0 win away to Derby County earlier in the month it has been a very long time since the fans have had anything to cheer about. The Lions will take confidence from Leeds recent record and I can see them scoring. Leeds have conceded in over three quarters of their home games and in each of their last six matches at Elland Road. Ian Holloways side have dropped into the relegation zone after failing to beat Charlton earlier on in the week at the Den, and they will be desperate for points, but so are Leeds and I can see the home side coming out on top.
A £10 stake on this treble will return an enormous £424.30 with Ladbrokes
