The Football League season is really starting to heat up and we’ve already been treated to a number of highly entertaining matches.
This weekend’s offering should provide yet more phenomenal action and we’re looking to take advantage with this BTTS and Match Result treble, which carries odds in excess of 90/1.
Good luck!
Derby County V Cardiff City
It’s been a tumultuous start to life in the Championship and their return of eight point from 21 ultimately cost Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his job. Unfortunately for the managerless Bluebirds, things don’t get much easier as they travel to the iPro Stadium.
The Welshman can at least be positive about their offensive record as their midweek loss to Middlesbrough was the first Championship encounter in which they’ve failed to score. Unfortunately, they have been majorly let down by their vulnerable defence and their inability to cope with the loss of players like Steven Caulker over the sumer has wreaked havoc on their form.
Meanwhile, Steve McLaren’s Rams are going strong in seventh and are still on target to at least challenge the top teams. Only three teams have registered a better goal return than Derby’s 13 and they’ll be confident of adding to that tally here, especially on home turf.
However, County do concede a fair few and each of their past five outings have been BTTS winners. We expect that sequence to continue here, but are still backing them to get the three points.

Leeds United V Huddersfield Town
A Yorkshire derby between Leeds and Huddersfield means that Saturday’s showdown in bound to be a ferocious affair. However, the extreme circumstances surrounding it make it more exciting than ever.
Leeds have been preoccupied with the manager situation but were still able to pick up a valuable 3-1 win at Bournemouth on Tuesday night with an incredible turnaround and we’re backing the Lilywhites to claim another three points here.
The Terriers have really struggled this season and currently reside in the relegation zone with a return of just five point fro a possible 21. On a brighter note, though, they have at least scored seven goals – although that good work has been rendered redundant due to the division’s second worst defensive record.
You have to go back seven matches to find the last meeting in which both teams didn’t score and that should be the case again here. Leeds won last year’s encounter with a thumping 5-1 victory and whilst we doubt they’ll score that many on Saturday, we do think they can grab the win.

Colchester United V Bradford City
The Bantams have started the League One season particularly well and manager Phil Parkinson will expect another three points as he returns to former club Colchester United.
City enter this weekend’s fixtures siting fifth in the table and most fans will be predicting an away win at the Colchester Community Stadium but we think that the hosts can at least give Bradford a run for their money.
Colchester are currently third from bottom and already facing the very real prospect of a relegation battle. However, Tony Humes’ men can at least take heart from their return of nine goals in eight matches. In fact, the Eagles have hit netted four in their past two matches alone and can be confident of finding the target here.
Nevertheless, Bradford will be favoured to win and will be hopeful of repeating last term’s 2-0 victory. We do think they’ll take the points, but are backing the home side to get on the scoreboard.
