The Easter weekend is one of our favourite parts of the year. The sun is finally starting to shine, the beers will be flowing, and there’s plenty of football.
International fixtures mean that there’s no Premier League or Championship matches this Good Friday, so we’re turning our attentions to Leagues One and Two for our BTTS & Win treble. With the potential to turn £10 into over £950, it has to be worth a punt.
Good luck.
Rochdale v Southend United
In League One, Phil Brown’s Southend United still have a chance of gaining a play-off spot but they can’t afford too many slip-ups between now and the season’s end. As they head to Spotland, only a win will do for the Shrimpers.
It certainly won’t be easy for the visitors, especially as the hosts have won three matches on the spin. Rochdale boast an impressive 10 home wins this term too, scoring 29 in the process. It would be very surprising if Keith Hill’s men fail to find the target.
Southend did score an impressive 2-0 win at Barnsley in their last match on the road, though, and will be looking to increase their tally of 24 away goals in style. If they do, it would give them a huge boost as they aim to use the Easter schedule as a springboard for resurrecting their play-off hopes.
The sides shared a 2-2 draw back at Roots Hall, and we think there will be more goals here. On this occasion, though, we’re backing the visitors to sneak a victory.

Sheffield United v Crewe Alexandra
It has been a very difficult campaign for Crewe Alexandra this term, and it appears increasingly likely that they will be relegated to League Two. Unfortunately, things don’t get any easier here as they make the trip to Bramall Lane.
The visitors have leaked 31 on the road, which could be a major problem against a home side with 32 in 18 in Sheffield. If Nigel Adkins men can get the ball to Billy Sharp, the Blades should have no problem cutting Alexandra down.
Sheffield United have shipped 25 home goals, though, while seven of Crewe’s last eight matches have ended in BTTS winners. Nevertheless, the visitors haven’t won any of those eight matches and could be left waiting a little longer here.
We’d expect a home win, but do think the visitors can continue their recent scoring exploits. At 12/5, it has to be worth an inclusion.

Exeter City v Barnet
A fantastic home record has virtually sealed survival for Martin Allen’s Bees, but their away form has been pretty poor and Barnet could be set for another disappointment as they make the trip to St James’ Park on Good Friday. Having said that, we do think the visitors will score.
After all, the likes of John Akinde and Michael Gash have fired the League Two club to 22 goals on the road. Sadly, a defence that has leaked 34 has been a major problem, leading to just three wins in 18 away games so far.
Paul Tisdale’s men have hardly been perfect at home, conceding 27 times in 18 matches. However, they have also scored 26 and will be confident of goals here. The hosts are currently unbeaten in five matches too, which should give them an added source of optimism. If they perform like they have recently, it should be another three points for the Grecians.
Barnet’s away record has improved, though. While we think they’ll fall to a first away loss in six, they certainly have every chance of scoring too.
