We nailed it over the weekend, so we might as well shout about it!
A winning 41/1 BTTS & win treble put icing on our very profitable cake this week and we are looking to do it all over again here with these three…
Liverpool v Sunderland – 8.00pm Wednesday
Liverpool to win and BTTS is 17/10 with Ladbrokes
Liverpool find themselves in second and very much mounting a title challenge along with Chelsea and Manchester City. Brendan Rodgers side have to win each game from now on in and you would expect them to source three points here against a struggling Sunderland side in the bottom three. The Reds have won six games in a row and have not lost in 11, no team is on better form in the league. A Luis Suarez hatrick over the weekend against Cardiff City, means the most dangerous man in the Premiership is hitting form at just the right time for the Merseysiders and I can see the Uruguayan racking up a few more here.
Sunderland reside in 18th place and if the season ends today they are relegated. Although what the Black Cats do have on their side is matches. Gus Poyet and his side have two games in hand over closest rivals Crystal Palace and West Brom and victories would see them go above the two sides. Here against Liverpool however is one of those extra ties. Away from the Stadium of Light, Sunderland have played far better and are unbeaten in their last three. 23 goals have been scored in their 14 away games and I can see them finding a goal here against a Liverpool side who score plenty but regularly concede. In fact Hull City have conceded less goals than Liverpool this season and even though a win looks inevitable and clean sheet doesn’t.
Preston North End v Peterborough United -7.45pm Tuesday
Preston to win and BTTS is 31/10 with Ladbrokes
Preston have not won in three games after suffering a 1-0 defeat away at Swindon over the weekend. Seven points dropped have seen them move down to 5th place and even though a Play Off place has been secured, they will want to finished third to ensure a more favourable Semi Final tie, potentially against today’s visitors Peterborough. When the pair last played the Posh won 2-0 during their scintillating form at the start of the season. The Lilywhites will be desperate to avenge that result as well as getting an important win to stop the rot. Top scorer Joe Garner has 15 to his name and will want to improve on that this season.
Peterborough have a few goal scorers of their own including League One’s top scorer Assombalonga who has fired in 19 this season. They are rarely short of goals. Although the Posh cannot afford to drop too many more points in their last nine games as they are currently just clinging on to the final Play Off place, with MK Dons, three points behind. Saturday saw them suffer another defeat when Rotherham left London Road with a 1-0 win. Six of their last eight away game have seen Darren Ferguson’s side score and even though another defeat may be on the cards I can see them scoring.
Rotherham United v Brentford – 7.45pm Tuesday
Brentford to win and BTTS is 18/5 with Ladbrokes
The aforementioned Rotherham are playing as good as anyone currently and their fantastic season has sealed them a Play Off place. Their league position has not been helped however by their home form but as they displayed on Saturday their away form is exceptional. At the New York City Stadium, Rotherham have won just seven of their 18 games and have conceded in all but three of those ties. On the road the story is very different with the Millers winning 12 of their 19 away games. Rotherham’s long unbeaten run though will mean this will be a tight game and one i expect them to score in.
Brentford are in second place, four points ahead of Leyton Orient in 3rd and just a single point away from top of the league Wolves. Plenty left to play for and three points here would contribute significantly to their promotion bid. The Bees have won four in a row now are unbeaten in 11 games on the road. In their last two games, important victories were recorded against a strong Coventry side and a massive 1-0 win against rivals Leyton Orient. Being on such great form and so close to promotion I can see nothing but an away win here.
