BTTS Free Bets[/toggle]Benfica V Zenit St Petersburg
Champions League football returns tonight and the clash between Benfica is Zenit is set to be a truly wild encounter as they battle it out for early supremacy in Group C.
With Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen completing the group, this is arguably one of the hardest predict and all four teams will feel they’ve got a chance of reaching the knockout phase. A strong start could be imperative to their respective ambitions, though, and three points from the opening fixture could put them in the driving seat.
Benfica may have lost a couple of attacking talents over the summer but they still boast the likes of Rodrigo Lima, Eduardo Salvio and Ola John. Last year’s Europa League runners-up also enter this crucial contest on the back of a a 5-0 triumph against Vitoria Setubal and Jorge Jesus will be confident that his side can start their Champions League campaign in style.
However, the Russians have proven themselves to be a very capable unit over recent years. Whilst they are still some way short of Europe’s very best, Zenit can rely on the likes of Hulk, Rondon and Alexander Kerzhakov to fire in the goals. Meanwhile, summer signing Ezequiel Garay would also love to score against his former employer.
Both teams score goals for fun in their domestic leagues and hopefully that should transcend into this European contest.

Huddersfield Town V Wigan Athletic
Championship side Huddersfield Town might be struggling towards the foot of the table but the Terriers have been a very reliable selection on the BTTS coupon and we’re predicting plenty more action at the John Smith’s Stadium as they entertain Wigan Athletic.
It has been five straight matches in which Town have both scored and conceded, taking their overall tally to seven scored for and 15 against. The Terriers have changed manager, with Chris Powell taking over from Mark Lillis as Mark Robins’ long-term successor, but that shouldn’t stp the goals flowing in Yorkshire.
Likewise, Uwe Rosler’s Latics have been involved in some very eventful early season fixtures. Athletic have hit nine goals but conceded eight after half a dozen Championship outings and their record is another reason to back goals in Tuesday’s encounter.
Wigan have conceded seven of those nine goals on the road so Huddersfield should be confident. However, the visitors are a better outfit and will also be looking to take advantage of the change in management at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Both teams will view this as a winnable fixture and that should spark an entertaining affair.

Gillingham V Peterborough United
This isn’t the first time we’re including Peterborough in a BTTS treble and it certainly won’t be the last.
It might seem a little odd to pick a match involving two teams that were both held to 0-0 draws on Saturday but, generally speaking, goals tend to be a common feature for these League One rivals and we suspect that will be the case again here.
Posh have already hit a dozen league goals, shipping six in the process, and are sitting pretty in second place. Gillingham might be mid-table but a return of nine goals is impressive. Unfortunately, Peter Taylor’s men are largely let down by a defensive unit that has conceded 11 times already.
Gillingham will be confident at Priestfield, though, and will not be frightened to attack. The forward-thinking approach of both managers should hopefully lead to a cracking spectacle.
Last year’s corresponding fixture ended in a 2-2 draw and we’re predicting another high-scoring contest here.
