Tuesday night is thoroughly treating us BTTS fans for games with possible goal fests, so I thought I’d chip in with my thoughts for the bumper Tuesday fixture list. We’ve got a full program of Football League action as well as some mouthwatering Champions League clashes to enjoy.

Arsenal v Bayern Munich 7.45pm
What an absolute classic this could be. The selection doesn’t really take much picking as most football fans should look at this match and immediately think that both sides will find the net. However this is GGT and we don’t simply tip a bet without an explanation.

Firstly, let’s look at Arsenal. They are in fine form and bounced back immediately after their shocking 2-3 home loss to Olympiakos in their last CL fixture by hammering Manchester United 3-0 at the Emirates at the beginning of this month. They followed that up with a 3-0 away victory at the weekend. Alexis Sanchez is on fire at present, so many Arsenal fans will think this is the perfect time to face Bayern.
Bayern haven’t lost a competitive game in 90 minutes since May this year (they did lose on penalties to Wolfsburg in the Super Cup in early August after a 1-1 draw). They are 100% in the Bundesliga after 9 games with a +27 goal difference and are the same in Europe (P2 W2 F8 A0). Scoring simply isn’t a problem when you have the likes of Lewandowski, Muller and Gotze at their disposal.
The main question you’ve got to ask yourself is: Will Arsenal score? On their current form you just have to answer yes at this moment. BTTS is the bet.

Peterborough v Wigan 7.45pm
While this has already been tipped in Liam’s BTTS article, I just couldn’t avoid including it in my own selections. This game absolutely leaps out at you for goals.
Peterborough have hit BTTS in all 6 of their home league games this season, and have already played the likes of Gillingham (1st), Walsall (2nd) and Sheffield United (6th) in front of their fans.
Wigan sit in 8th position, 2 points ahead of the Posh and also come into this game in great scoring form. The Latics have scored 10 goals in their last 3 games in all competitions and absolutely annihilated Colchester (5-0) at the weekend. There are a number of players in scorching form and it’s highly likely that this clash is going to be high scoring.
It’s been 12 years since these two clubs faced eachother, and I’ve got a feeling it’s going to be one to remember. Both teams to score is definitely the bet here.

York City v Dagenham and Redbridge 7.45pm
A League 2 match here from the lower reaches of the table. 21st play 23rd respectively and it’s a game that both sides feel they can win. Even at this very early stage it could work out to be a very important 3 points come the end of the season.
York, despite their lowly position are capable of scoring goals. In fact, they’ve scored in every home game so far this term, which include goals in losses against Oxford (3rd 1-2) and Mansfield (4th 1-2).
Visitors Dagenham and Redbridge will be disappointed with their 0-1 home loss against Hartlepool at the weekend, but I’m confident they’ll bounce back and at least score a goal on Tuesday. They’ve scored 7 in their last 5 road games, all of which have seen both teams score. They even sneaked a 2-1 victory at 9th placed Northampton.
This is unlikely to be a pretty match, but there’s a lot at stake here and I’m expecting both teams to go for the throat. BTTS it is.
