After quite a hectic week of football action it’s time to concentrate on the main attraction… Weekend football. With the Premier League hitting top gear now it’s getting pretty exciting, but that’s not going to sway me from where I know the goals are at; and once again I’m heading off to Europe for Saturday’s both teams to score treble.
I actually started researching these games on Tuesday night and I’m keen as mustard on this bet. Good luck if you follow!

Heerenveen v Den Haag
Dutch Eredivisie – 5.45pm
Both teams to score odds – 3/7 – 888sport
I’m beginning to sound like a broken record keep mentioning Heerenveen every week, but there’s absolutely no reason to stop following them. They carried on after the winter break in fine scoring and conceding style (2-2 at home to Roda JC and a 3-1 loss to Cambuur at the weekend), and this game also looks set for goals.
We’ve got to remember that Heerenveen have scored and conceded in EVERY single home game they’ve played this season (10) and it really doesn’t matter what quality the opposition is, they just seem to stick to the same old tricks. Having the best home attack (28 goals) as well as the 2nd weakest home defence (conceded 22 goals) tells a big story.
Visitors Den Haag really are no great shakes. They sit in 16th place in the league (a relegation play-off spot) and are 2 points adrift of safety. Do not be put off by the fact that they’ve only scored 9 goals away form home this season. Remember this is Heerenveen we’re talking about!
The reverse fixture finished 1-1 back in early December, making it the 3rd consecutive time both teams have found the net when they’ve come up against each other.
Cagliari v Fiorentina
Italy Serie A – 5.00pm
Both teams to score odds – 9/11 – 888sport
Cagliari are a lower mid table team with a difference. They’re not the worlds best in front of goal, in fact their distinctly average. They’ve scored just 16 home goals in 11 games BUT they have only failed to score once at home this term. Inter, Juventus, Napoli and Milan have all visited the Stadio Sant’Elia and conceded at least 1 goal.
Fiorentina are undefeated in their last 9 games in all competitions, winning 7, and are a real force to be reckoned with this season. Cagliari won this fixture 2-1 last season and will once again be looking to give a big club trouble.
I can’t imagine Fiorentina failing to score here either… Cagliari have conceded in every home game thus far.
Stenhousemuir v Stranraer
Scottish League 1 – 3.00pm
Both teams to score odds – 8/15 – 888sport
Stranraer are another side that done us a treat last week. They have an amazing 90% BTTS strike rate away from home in the league. Last week they travelled to bottom club Airdrie and drew 1-1.
Stenhousemuir are a better side than Airdrie, and while they’re not in the greatest form at present (1 point from last 5 games) they shouldn’t find it difficult to breach a defence that concedes an average of just under 2 goals per away game.
Stranraer won the reverse fixture 1-0 at home but this game is a completely different proposition. They just don’t keep clean sheets on the road.
