With the transfer window approaching its end, there’s been plenty of off-field storylines to keep us entertained in recent days. The drama should spill onto the pitch on Saturday thanks to a feast of mouth watering football across the English leagues.
We’ve picked three games that we think will bring goals at both ends. At odds of over 5/1 at Boylesports , it has to be worth a weekend punt on these six to find the target.
Good luck!
West Bromwich Albion V Aston Villa
The afternoon’s most fascinating Premier League clash comes from the Hawthorns as Tony Pulis’s Baggies look to bounce back from last weekend’s loss at Southampton with three points against the league’s bottom side. However, anything can happen in a derby, and the hosts could be given a huge test by an improving Villa.
It’s hardly been brilliant for Remi Garde’s men, but they make the short trip to the Hawthorns in their best form of the season. Four points from two league games, combined with a draw and win in the FA Cup, will have restored some sense of optimism. The like of Rudy Gestede and Jordan Ayew will fancy their chances, and there’s no reason that Villa shouldn’t hope to at least gain something.
However, it’s hard to see the league’s worst side keeping a clean sheet on the road. They’ve conceded 24 in 11 matches away from Villa Park this term, which should give the Baggies a fantastic chance to increase their tally of 14 home goals too.
Neither team can be overly confident at the back, so attack may have to be the call of the day. Back both teams to score.

Sheffield United V Swindon Town
In League One, back-to-back wins have pushed Swindon up to 14th in the table and the Robins will be hopeful of making further inroads under new boss Luke Williams this weekend. However, they could have their work cut out against the Blades.

The visitors can rely on the goals of Nicholas Ajose and Jonathan Obika to give them a fighting chance at Bramall Lane, and it is worth noting that they’ve netted an impressive 41 league goals already this season. Nevertheless, a defence that has leaked 44 could be prove to be their Achilles heel once more.
After all, Nigel Adkins’ men have scored 27 in just 13 home matches. With the likes of Billy Sharp and Jose Baxter amongst their attacking arsenal, they should be extremely confident of goals. However, after conceded 21 on home turf, they might need more than one strike to seal the win.
Last season’s corresponding clash ended in a thrilling 2-1 away win. A similar result on Saturday would suit us just fine.

Wrexham V Lincoln City
Our final selection comes from the Conference as Wrexham take on Lincoln in what looks nailed on to be an exciting contest. Unsurprisingly, we’re backing both teams to score.
The Welsh hosts are in awful form having lost four on the bounce, but they’ve still scored in the last two to take their overall tally to 47 in 27 games. That includes 31 in 14 at the Racecourse, so Gary Mills men can be confident about finding the net against an away defence that’s shipped 22 on the road.
Lincoln have scored 21 in those 15 away games, though, and will look to 15-goal Matthew Rhead for more inspiration here. The Imps are in bad form too, however, having lost four of their last five. It would be a surprise if their defence can hold firm for a full 90 minutes.
Two decent frontlines against out-of-form defences: that has to be a recipe for drama. It was 1-1 back at Lincoln, so let’s hope for another BTTS here.
