Just a quickie from me today but I’ve found a couple of BTTS bets that I couldn’t help writing a little preview for. I was doing my normal scanning through the fixtures and I came across a couple of little gems that I had to get on immediately. I didn’t think it would be right to get on a bet and not let readers know, so here they are… A Monday both teams to score double!
Pacos Ferreira v Estoril
Portugal Primeira 8.00pm
Selection – both teams to score 2.00 at Coral
12th placed Estoril visit 7th placed Pacos Ferreira tonight and I can’t help but think that this is a cert for BTTS. The main reason for this is that visitors Estoril have scored and conceded in every league game they’ve played so far this term. That’s 10 games where we’ve seen goals for both sides.
Estoril have already faced the likes of Porto (2-2), Benfica (2-3) and Braga (2-1). Now it’s fair to say that they’ve not played much quality away from home (apart from the 1-2 loss at Braga), but Pacos are hardly watertight. The home side have conceded in all but 1 of their 5 home league games to date, which includes goals from Gil Vicente (17th), Maritimo (9th) and Setubal (11th).
Historical meetings between these two doesn’t scream out for BTTS to be backed, but Estoril beat Pacos 3-0 in this game last season. Pacos are a better side now, and do have the better recent form. the even money available at Coral for both teams to score look very good value indeed and I suggest it should be taken.
Ajax II v VVV Venlo
Holland Eerste Division 7.00pm
Selection – both teams to score 1.53 at Ladbrokes
Ajax II are a frustrating side when you are backing them because you never know what kind of side they are going to field. Some weeks they are better than others in terms of result, but you can pretty much rely on them to score and concede goals.
They’ve kept just 1 clean sheet in 6 at home so far this season and I’m certain that VVV Venlo will brab at least one goal tonight.
VVV don’t score too many goals away from home. However, their last 2 road games have seen them net against top of the table NEC (lost 2-1) as well as at PSV II (drew 2-2).
Ajax are fairly narrow favourites to win this game, and to be honest I wouldn’t like to call the actual result itself. BTTS is very appealing, although at fairly prohibitive odds.
The double above pays best at Ladbrokes. A £10 stake pays £29.10.
