The Football League season has delivered some fantastic matches already and this Saturday’s offering should follow suit.
We’re hoping to take advantage with this 78/1 treble on the BTTS and Win coupon with Coral. With the prospect of huge returns, we’d only need one winner during the season to turn a profit. For that reason alone it has to be worth a small punt.
Game on!

A new look Saints may have left Anfield empty handed last Sunday but there were plenty of positives for Ronald Koeman’s men and they can be confident about winning their first home game of the season.
Southampton were particularly strong at St Mary’s last term and can look to January’s 1-0 win over the Baggies for inspiration. The visitors endured an atrocious record on the road in 2013/14 and new boss Alan Irvine will have to improve that if they want to avoid relegation.
The Saints will be favourites in this early season encounter but punters should not overlook their summer exodus when betting on this one. Southampton lost defenders Luke Shaw, Calum Chambers and Dejan Lovren and their absence will be felt in the opening weeks of 2014/15. We saw Liverpool take advantage and we’d expect the Baggies to experience some joy in the final third also.
Nevertheless, Southampton will fancy their chances of grabbing three points against West Brom and the likes of Graziano Pelle and Shane Long will be eager to impress on their home debuts. In the latter’s case, a chance to get one over his former employers would be very welcomed indeed.
At 11/4, we think this is definitely worth including in the acca.

Nottingham Forest V Reading
Stuart Pearce’s Nottingham Forest have started the season on fire and we’re backing the Reds to carry that on with Saturday’s home contest against Reading.
The former European champions have not played Premier League football in 1998/99 and are desperate to secure their return this term. Having scored two goals in each of their three opening fixtures, the early signals are good.
However, it is worth noting that Blackpool are the only side to fire a blank against Forest so far and Nigel Adkins’ Royals can be confident about at least finding the target on Saturday.
Despite a shock defeat to Huddersfield on Tuesday, Reading have shown positive signs in the early weeks and will be hopeful of at least reaching the play-offs after narrowly missing out in 2013/14. Two of their three matches have been BTTS winners and they didn’t win either of those; we’re backing that trend to continue at the City Ground.
Forest and Pearce, who also served as caretaker boss in 1996/97, were a perfect match during his playing days and it appears that his return to the club could prove to be similarly successful. Back the Reds to edge an exciting clash with Reading.

Tranmere Rovers V Cheltenham Town
League Two side Tranmere Rovers would have hoped for a slightly better start 2014/15 but a midweek win at Wycombe will serve as a huge morale boost as the recently relegated club bid to join the early frontrunners. A first home triumph of the season would ensure that they stay in touch with the pacesetters.
However, the Robins are flying high at the moment having picked up seven points from a possible nine and will push Rovers all the way at Prenton Park. Mark Yates men may have fired a blank against Carlisle United on Tuesday night but the visitors will fancy their chances of finding the target here.
Cheltenham have been solid defensively, conceding just twice in three games, but they could be in for a tough afternoon against Tranmere. Rob Edwards’ men have scored in every league encounter so far and should have no trouble extending that sequence on Saturday. With the likes of James Rowe and Max Power chipping in from midfield, the home fans will be anticipating more than one goal from their side.
This has the potential to be a truly fascinating League Two encounter and we’re backing the two sides to deliver. Our instincts edge towards a home win but we do think the Robins will enjoy productive spells.
