After a successful first half to 2014/15, we’re hoping to carry our winning form into the New Year with this 4/1 treble on January 1st.
We’re backing these six teams from England and Scotland to find the net and land us yet another winning BTTS treble.

QPR V Swansea City
Harry Redknapp’s Hoops cannot buy a win away from Loftus Road but their home form has been pretty solid and they will hope to start 2015 with a bang by beating Swansea. However, Garry Monk’s men are equally likely to find the target in this crucial New Year’s Day showdown.
The Welshmen have enjoyed a decent opening half to 2014/15 but their away form hasn’t been great and that was highlighted superbly by Monday’s 4-1 defeat to Liverpool. QPR boast 17 goals in just 10 home games and there is no reason to think they can’t find a way past the Swans defence here.
Nevertheless, Swansea will be quietly confident after hitting nine in nine away games – especially as QPR have shipped 12 times at Loftus Road. If Wilfried Bony and Gylfi Sigurdsson can find their best form then the visitors will almost certainly get on the scoresheet.
Both teams will be desperate to start 2015 with a bang and that should lead to an entertaining contest in west London.

Aberdeen V St Johnstone
Our second selection comes from the crucial clash at Pittodrie as the SPL’s two in-form sides collide in this fascinating New Year’s Day contest.
Both Aberdeen and St Johnstone enter this fixture on the back of five game winning streaks and each will be confident heading into this one. Derek McInnes’ men will be in extremely buoyant mood after keeping five straight clean sheets, but the Dons know that they are in for a real test against the vastly improved Saints.
Tommy Wright’s men are actually unbeaten in eight competitive fixtures, winning seven of those encounters, and boast a dozen goals in that period. The visitors will certainly expect to increase that goal tally in Aberdeen but may have to settle for a share of the spoils to start 2015.
These sides last met at Pittodrie in April, sharing a 1-1 draw, and we wouldn’t be surprised if this game ends with a similar outcome. Back both teams to score.

AFC Telford United V Nuneaton Town
The Vanarama Conference’s bottom two clubs meet for the second time in a week and following their incredible 4-4 draw at Nuneaton, we’re anticipating another explosive contest at the New Bucks Head Ground.
Friday’s dramatic draw was Telford’s fifth straight BTTS winner and Steve Kittrick’s side are likely to both score and concede once more. They’ve shipped more home goals than any other side in the league this season but do also boast 19 at the right end so should be confident against an away side that has leaked 32 on the road.
Nuneaton have only scored six away goals this season but, on the other hand, Alfreton had only netted four before their Boxing Day thriller so that shouldn’t deter punters from backing this selection.
Neither defence is particularly good and those shortcomings will come under intense scrutiny once more. Whilst we don’t think we’ll see another eight goals, there should be plenty of chances at both ends.
