Thursday’s Europa League action promises to be another thrilling night of European action and we’re looking to win big with this BTTS treble.
We’ve pinpointed six teams to continue their good scoring form and are hopeful that these selections will provide the perfect start to October.
Good luck!
Sparta Prague V Young Boys
Czech club Sparta Prague suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat at Napoli a fortnight ago but have since bounced back with consecutive wins domestically. Vitezslav Lavicka’s men will now be hoping to make it three wins from three as they welcome Swiss club Young Boys to the Generali Arena.
However, the visitors will be in high spirits following a 5-0 win over Slovan Bratislava at the Stade de Suisse so it could be another difficult night for the Czech hosts. However, in veteran striker in David Lafata, Prague do boast a prolific goalscorer and he could be their best hope of firing them to success.
Nevertheless, they’ll have to be carful at the back against an efficient away side. Goals have come from plenty of sources this season for Young Boys and we’d expect them to find the target again in the Czech capital.
Like Sparta, Young Boys have also won each of their last two domestic matches. With both clubs in good form, neutrals will be hopeful for an action-packed contest here.

FC Zurich V Borussia Monchengladbach
Having failed to win their respective Group A openers, both FC Zurich and Borussia Monchengladbach will be desperate to win this clash at the Stadion Letzigrund.
Whilst neither team managed to pick up three points last time out, they did at least both find the target. The Germans claimed a 1-1 draw against group favourites Villarreal as Zurich fell 3-2 away at Apollon Limassol. We’re expecting the flow of goals to continue in this Thursday night showdown.
Zurich’s last five games in this competition, including three this term, have ended in BTTS winners and that trend shouldn’t end against Monchengladbach. The hosts will be confident of making the most of home advantage, but must be careful of the in-form Germans.
Borussia are playing some really good football right now and remain unbeaten after nine competitive matches this season. Lucien Favre’s men have every chance of extending that run here but could need a couple of goals to grab the full three points.
Group A started in truly entertaining fashion and we’re backing that to carry on in Switzerland.

Celtic V Dinamo Zagreb
Glasgow giants Celtic were involved in a fascinating 2-2 draw in Austria last time out and manager Ronny Deila will be determined to build on that result with a home win at Park Head.
The SPL side have finally hit a decent run of form and are now five games unbeaten following a tumultuous beginning to the Deila reign. Having been dumped out of the Champions League, twice, the Hoops will be eager to make amends with a prolonged journey in this competition and three points would go a long way to helping them progress to the last 32.
Celtic will adopt an attacking approach to this fixture and that should result in goals for the Scottish champions. However, Dinamo tore Astra Giurgui apart with an emphatic 5-1 victory in their Group D opener and the visitors will be equally optimistic ahead of the trip to Glasgow.
The Croats will also look to the results of both Legia Warsaw and Maribor for inspiration and that should spur them on. It’s a particularly difficult game to predict the outcome of but we do expect both teams to score.
