Despite a lack of fixtures to choose from, we managed to celebrate last weekend’s schedule with a pleasing winner on the BTTS coupon and this Saturday we’re looking to double our delight with another.
We’re backing six high-scoring teams to all find the target during the afternoon’s action. At odds of over 4/1 with Betfred, we believe it’s a very tempting treble.
Fingers crossed for another weekend boom.
Crystal Palace V West Ham United
Our first selection comes courtesy of an exciting London derby as Alan Pardew hopes to get one over on his former employers as his Crystal Palace welcome in-form West Ham to Selhurst Park.
The high-flying Eagles will be pleased with their start to the campaign, and will be looking to the likes of Dwight Gayle, Yannick Bolasie and Yohan Cabaye for inspiration against the Hammers. The hosts have scored five goals in four home matches this term and will be confident about extending that here, although it is worth noting they’ve also conceded four on their own patch.

Meanwhile, Slaven Bilic’s Hammers are the division’s leading scorers on the road and are still unbeaten in spite of facing Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool on their travels. The Hammers will have to contend with a couple of notable injuries, but the return of Andy Carroll provides another option and they should fancy their chances of scoring too.
It’s set to be a fierce derby between two clubs that are currently performing beyond their expectations. Let’s hope that transpires to a game of goals.

Port Vale V Peterborough United
In League One, Graham Westley’s Peterborough have been involved in some very exciting fixtures in recent matches and we’re predicting plenty more drama as Posh make the trip to Vale Park.
Peterborough’s last three matches have brought nine goals for and seven goals against. If that sort of entertainment continues on Saturday, this should be a BTTS winner with plenty of time to spare.
Meanwhile, Robbie Page’s men have been involved in three straight BTTS winners on home soil. The goals of Uche Ikpeazu should give them confidence in the attacking third. However, they haven’t kept a clean sheet in the league since August and are unlikely to keep out a currently rampant Peterborough.
Both of last season’s encounters ended in BTTS winners, which is another reason to back goals here. We’d arguably like a slightly bigger price, but we still think this selection should win.

Carlisle United V Exeter City
Goals have been an all too common feature at Brunton Park this season with Keith Curle’s men both scoring and conceding 12 times in their six league outings at home. It’s hard to see the goals drying up as they take on an equally goal hungry Exeter.
Fancy a little look at our over 2.5 goals tips?
Only one of Carlisle’s home games has ended in a BTTS loser this term, and that came via a 1-0 loss to Newport after their Capital One Cup trip to Liverpool. Last weekend’s 3-2 loss to Morecambe was more like the sort of action we expect to see in Cumbria this season. With Jabo Ibehre scoring for fun, the hosts will at least be expected to score.
However, they shouldn’t expect things all their own way against an away side that boast eight goals from six matches on the road. However, Paul Tisdale’s men have leaked 12 on the road, so there’s a good chance they’ll need several goals to clinch the three points.
Last season’s corresponding fixture ended in a 3-1 win for the visitors. We’re not sure whether they’ll win here, but we do expect both teams to score.
