The international schedule means there is no action to look forward to in England’s top two divisions, but that won’t prevent us from trying to bash the bookies with this BTTS treble that pays just over 7/2. Join them today and get up to a huge £200 in free bets.
Our selections come from matches in League Two and the Vanarama Conference; let’s pray for plenty of goals.
Good luck.
Carlisle United V Accrington Stanley
The Cumbrians endured an awful start to the campaign following last season’s relegation from League One but Keith Curle’s men are improving and will be hopeful of picking up points against Accrington Stanley.
Results still haven’t been brilliant for the home side but they are at least starting to score goals now, netting in three of their last four competitive matches. Particularly pleasing for Curle, though, is the recent run at Brunton Park. United have won three of their past four home matches and should fancy their chances against a Stanley side that has shipped 27 this term.
The visitors will be equally confident, though, as recent improvements have thrust them into the top half. Stanley are definitely in better shape since John Coleman took over as manager, but are still conceding. In fact, their last five league fixtures have all ended in BTTS winners and we’re expecting that run to continue here.
Both teams will be highly motivated for this contest and could adopt an attacking philosophy. It could go either way, but fans will be anticipating an exciting clash. Back both teams to score.
BTTS Yes @ 8/11
Chester V Gateshead
It has been a relatively successful return to the Conference for Steve Burr’s men but they’ll be desperate to put an end to their losing streak by picking up at least a draw against high-flying Gateshead.
The Blues were brilliant in beating Southend United in the cup but were brought crashing back to earth with a 3-1 loss at Macclesfield on Tuesday. However, that goal scored did extend their run of BTTS winners to five and that trend looks set to continue in this showdown.
Gateshead will almost certainly add to their tally of 33 scored as they look to pile the pressure on leaders Barnet. The visitors have, however, shipped 25 so Chester will fancy their chances of finding the net at some stage.
We have to lean towards an away win as Gary Mills’ men have a real incentive to put on a good display. Chester can push them all the way, though, and we think that they can score too.
BTTS Yes @ 4/6
Eastleigh V Lincoln City
Eastleigh meet Lincoln for the second time this month, following last weekend’s 2-1 FA Cup clash, and we’re backing these Conference rivals to be involved in another thrilling encounter at the Silverlake Stadium.
The Imps have both scored and conceded in each of their past seven competitive fixtures, netting 33 and shipping 36 in the league alone in 2014/15. That makes them an exciting proposition for fans of this coupon and there is no reason the goals should dry up on Saturday.
Eastleigh’s 1-1 draw in midweek took their tallies to 31 for and 25 against after 18 matches. Four of their past five games have ended in BTTS winners too, and Richard’s Hill men will hoping that their attacking threat can outweigh their defensive vulnerabilities.
Neither team has defended particularly well in recent weeks but both are finding the net on a frequent basis. We could be in for another end-to-end cracker.
