Everton v Aston Villa – 3.00pm
Advised Bet: Everton win – 4/7 Betfair Sportsbook
Everton were absolutely humiliated at Anfield against Liverpool last week and there’s simply no way Roberto Martinez will settle for anything other than a win against Aston Villa at Goodison Park.
A heavy loss against their fierce rivals isn’t ideal preparation, but you can guarantee they’ll see this clash as an immediate chance to bounce back to form and continue to hunt down a Champions League place which would be an amazing achievement for the club.
Aston Villa will be in a buoyant mood after beating local rivals West Brom 4-3 on Wednesday at Villa Park, but Everton are a much better outfit and shouldn’t slip up here. Home win.
Fulham v Southampton – 3.00pm
Advised Bet: Southampton win 6/5 Betfair Sportsbook
I was really impressed with Southampton in the first half of their 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the week and I’m pretty confident that they can take all 3 points at Craven Cottage against Fulham.
The Cottagers have picked up just 3 points in the league (a 2-1 win over West Ham) in their last 5 games, making this the perfect opportunity for the Saints to leave London with the victory.
Saints are undefeated in their last 5 games in all competitions and are quite nice value for the win at the odds. Away win for me.
Stoke City v Manchester United – 3.00pm
Advised Bet: Manchester United win 4/7 Betfair Sportsbook
Yes we know that United are in their transition period and have severly under performed this season. But we’ve got to remember that Juan Mata has just signed for them, and both Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney returned midweek in a no nonsense 2-0 victory against Cardiff.
That win at least stopped the rot and I think they’ll go on to build on that and beat Stoke at the Britannia.
Stoke have lost their last 3 games in all competitions without scoring a single goal, not the form you want to be in when you have a team visiting with the likes of Rooney, Mata and van Persie at your disposal. Away win.
