Martin here with another selection of three players to find the target and hopes of celebrating Saturday with a 95/1 enhanced odds treble at 888sport!
However, I’m not only backing the treble. I’m also backing each player as a single, so even two winning selections would provide a healthy chunk of profit. Still, I’ll be praying for the big jackpot win.
Here are my selections:
Leicester City V Crystal Palace. 3PM
Bet: Jamie Vardy to score anytime @ 33/25 with 888sport
Where better to start the weekend’s bet than with the Premier League’s top scorer. With Leicester facing a Palace side that conceded three times at home last week, it’s hard not to be tempted by the rampant Foxes and their main man Jamie Vardy
The England star has nine goals to his name already this Premier League season, including five openers. While the run can’t go on for ever, we’ve seen the impact of confidence on a number of occasions and I think Vardy can continue to ride this purple patch against the Eagles.
Quite frankly, with Riyah Mahrez supplying the ammunition, I would expect Vardy to get a number of chances throughout the contest. It would be very surprising if he doesn’t at least take one of them. He takes penalties too, so what more could you want?
At odds of almost 6/4 to get his name on the scoresheet at any point in the 90 minutes, he’s got to be one of my picks of the day.
Stoke City V Watford. 3PM
BET: Xerdan Shaqiri to score anytime @ 17/5 with 888sport
Staying in the Premier League, my next selection comes from the Britannia where the Potters are looking to make it four wins from four. If visiting Watford defend like they did against Arsenal last Saturday, all of Stoke’s attacking players will fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet.
On this occasion, I’m backing summer signing Xerdan Shaqiri to open his Premier League account against the stuttering Hornets. It’s not been the perfect start for the Swiss star, but I’ve no doubts that he can cut it in this league.
There’s no coincidence that their return to form has coincided with Shaqiri’s return fom suspension and Bojan’s return from injury. These two stars can be the key to Stoke’s revival, and the supporters will be looking to them both for inspiration here.
It wouldn’t surprise me if both men found the target. As far as my bet is concerned, 17/5 on Shaqiri stands out as value that simply has to be taken.
Brighton & HA V Preston NE
BET: Sam Baldock to score anytime @ 21/10 with 888sport
The Championship leaders don’t score that many goals considering their impressive form, but a home game against newly-promoted Preston should give them a fantastic chance to get amongst the goals at the Amex, and Sam Baldock could be the man to do it.
Confidence will be high for the former West Ham man after his Tuesday night goal against Bristol City and he’ll be looking to continue that form with another goal here. Depending on who else plays, he could be a great shout for taking penalties too, which may also come into play.
While they don’t score for fun, the hosts have at least found the net in each of their six home matches this season and I’ve no reason to doubt they will do so once more. At odds of over 2/1 for striker, you’ve gotta fancy your chances.
Back Baldock to score, and keep fingers crossed for a Brighton rout.
A £10 treble returns £963.43 for a £10 stake when you take advantage of the 888sport treble the odds offer when you open an account with them.
