I’ve been looking through the football fixtures for the weekend and thought I’d put an article together as there are a few matched I fancy strongly for BTTS this Saturday. Liam has already posted his both teams to score advice so now you are spoiled for choice this weekend.
Good luck if you follow my selections or use them in building your own accumulator.
Schalke v Borussia Dortmund
Bundesliga Saturday 2.30pm
This is a game that really sticks out like a sore thumb for BTTS. I’ve always liked Schalke when it comes to both teams to score, and the visit of Borussia Dortmund should encourage plenty of scoring action.
After an indifferent start Schalke finally recorded their first win of the season midweek when they comfortably beat struggling Werder Bremen 3-0 away from home – all three goals coming in the second half. That win will breed confidence in the camp and they will feel they can get something from powerhouse outfit Dortmund. The home side have failed to score in just 2 of their last 15 games at the Veltins Arena, and I think their recent win will spur them on.
Borussia Dortmund are now two games without a win thanks to a 0-2 away loss at Mainz last weekend and a 2-2 home draw with Stuttgart on Wednesday. With Schalke not renowned for their defensive sureness, the visitors will be expecting a win in what should be a very open game.
It’s also worth noting that all of the last 8 league meetings between these two sides at the Veltins Arena has seen both teams find the net. BTTS looks a formality.

Manchester United v West Ham
Premier League 3.00pm
This would be the last game I’d expect to be advising BTTS a couple of seasons ago, but such are the problems at Old Trafford at present I just have to put this clash in my treble.
We all know that United are having problems adjusting to life under van Gaal. We also know that they have a strikeforce to die for with the likes of van Persie, Rooney and Falcao. However, defensively they are atrocious and the news that they have no recognised centre back amongst 10 first team injuries suggests that West Ham will attempt to go in for the kill.
LVG has already stated that he’ll have to dip into the youth team to fill the gaps and that is great news for Big Sam and West Ham. The Hammers will be in a buoyant mood after their 3-1 victory over Liverpool last weekend, and while it would be rather churlish to advise a bet on them to take all 3 points, I’m supremely confident that they’ll breach De Gea’s goal at least once.
I will be very shocked if West Ham don’t score at Old Trafford. BTTS is the bet.

Queens Park v Berwick Rangers
Scottish League 2 3.00pm
My final selection comes from way down the Scottish pyramid. Home side Queens Park have only kept 1 clean sheet in their 6 league games played so far this term and have conceded an average of 1.33 goals per home game.
Visitors Berwick Rangers have scored 13 goals in their 6 games played so far, and average exactly 2.00 goals scored away from home.
The biggest factor in this selection is that Queens Park have only kept 3 clean sheets in their last 25 league games. Keeping teams out quite simply isn’t what they do. It’s also worth noting that 8 of the last 12 meetings between these two have resulted in both teams scoring.
Both teams to score – 8/13 Ladbrokes
The treble pays best at Ladbrokes at just under 7/2
