Millwall V Charlton Athletic
New Millwall boss Neil Harris is still searching for his first win in charge of the Lions and we think his wait will come to an end in Friday’s crucial London derby against Charlton at the Den.
In terms of performances, the Lions are improving and were desperately not lucky to beat Brentford last time out. A home match against an average Addicks should provide the best opportunity to give their survival hopes a boost, which is a must as they are currently seven points adrift with just seven games to play.
Charlton are in very good form, winning four of their past five, but now have very little incentive to perform. A mid-table finish is guaranteed for the Addicks, who could also see their progress disrupted by the recent international break, and the lack of motivation might allow Millwall to shine.
Millwall’s poor defence is far from impregnable and that means Harris’ men might need to score several goals to win this one. We think they will.

Preston North End V Rochdale
A run of 11 games undefeated has propelled Simon Grayson’s Preston up the League One table and the Lilywhites are now firm favourites to join Bristol City in gaining automatic promotion. However, they’ll have to be careful against Keith Hill’s Rochdale.
The visitors are only one point off the play-offs and will still be optimistic as they look to complete back-to-back promotions. A return of 35 away goals will be particularly pleasing and the duo of Ian Henderson and Peter Vincenti will be eager to cause havoc at Deepdale.
However, confidence is naturally sky high for a North End side that has lost just one home game all term. An impressive frontline, which is spearheaded by 20-goal man Joe Garner, should grab goals and that should help the hosts clinch this potentially pivotal victory.
This has the potential to be one of the most exciting games of the day and we think there will be goals. On this occasion, Preston’s momentum could well be the difference.

Bristol Rovers V Chester
Our final selection comes from the Vanarama Conference as Darrell Clarke’s Pirates look to regain top spot by beating an out-of-form Chester.
Rovers are just one point off league leading Barnet, but with just five games to play there isn’t much room for error and the hosts will be fully expected to grab the three points. Fourteen wins and 33 goals at the Memorial Ground would suggest they are more than capable of that, although they should expect an intense battle from the spirited visitors.
Despite their recent form, Chester will be extremely pleased with their first season back in the Conference National. Manager Steve Burr will be particularly pleased with seven away wins and the Blues will be eager to increase their tally of 27 on the road here.
However, Rovers have a huge incentive to put on a strong performance and the firepower of Matt Taylor and co should lead them to another vital win.
