BATE Borisov V Athletic Bilbao
Having been hammered 6-0 in their opening Champions League fixture at Porto, Belarusian side BATE Borisov will be desperate to bounce back in style. However, they could be in for another tough test against Spain’s Athletic Bilbao.
The visitors claimed an acceptable draw against Shakhtar Donetsk in their opening clash and three points in Belarus would give Ernesto Valverde’s men a real chance of progression. Unfortunately, though, the Liga side are currently on a five game winless streak and may need to score more than once to clinch the spoils here.
On a brighter note for Bilbao, though, BATE are also on bad run of form and have failed to win in four matches. Ultimately, both teams have struggled in recent week and those defensive vulnerabilities could spark an end-to-end contest at the Borisov Arena.
Group H is one in which all four teams will fancy their chances of advancing and three points would give the winner a huge boost here. Let’s hope for an entertaining clash.

PSG V Barcelona
In what is easily the headline encounter of the night, Paris Saint-Germain host Barcelona at the Parc des Princes. Fans across Europe will be eagerly awaiting this one and we don’t think these two giants will let us down.
Some of the best attacking talents in world football will be on display in this one with the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edison Cavani all set to feature. This list of superstars alone should be enough reason to back the BTTS market.
Home advantage should provide PSG with the impetus to score at some stage. In particular, Ibrahimovic will be eager to find the target against his former club. The Parisians have scored in 10 of their 11 competitive matches this term and Laurent Blanc’s men will more than likely do so again here.
However, PSG have conceded in four of their past five outings and could be in for a tough night against a Barca team who enter the fixture on the back of hitting six past Granada. With Andres Iniesta providing the ammunition for Messi and Neymar, the Catalan giants will trouble the home defence throughout.
Both teams will be highly motivated for this one. We’re backing them to provide an exciting affair.

Shakhtar Donetsk V Porto
Portuguese side Porto absolutely dominated BATE Borisov in their opening contest and could put one foot in the last 16 with victory against Shakhtar. However, the trip to Ukraine will pose a much harder challenge and Donetsk will be equally confident heading into the meeting.
Shakhtar are a notoriously difficult opponent on home soil and have lost just one of seven Champions League matches at the Donbass Arena since 2012. During that time they’ve beaten Chelsea, as well as earning draws against both Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund, and will have no fears about facing Porto.
Nevertheless, the visitors will be in high spirit following that emphatic 6-0 triumph over BATE and should at least find the taget again here.Whether that will be enough to secure any points is another question altogether.
Shakhtar and Porto are both clubs who have regularly reached the latter stafes of European competition in recent seasons. Expect them to each put that experience to good use.
