Just 16 teams remain in this season’s Capital One Cup competition and each club will be eager to take another step towards the March 2 final at Wembley.
That should ignite a flurry of goals over Tuesday and Wednesday; we’re looking to capitalise with this 4/1 BTTS treble at William Hill.
Good luck!
MK Dons V Sheffield United. Tuesday
Our first selection comes from the all League One affair at the Stadium: MK as the Dons face Sheffield United.
Karl Robnson’s men secured the headline result of the competition so far by smashing Manchester United 4-0 and the hosts will be confident about reaching the quarter-final here. With Benik Afobe and Dele Alli each enjoying positive starts to the campaign in front of goal, there is no reason that the Dons can’t find way past the Blades.
MK Dons have drawn their past two away games 0-0, but at home it’s another story altogether with four of their past five matches ending in BTTS winners. Meanwhile, Sheffield United have scored in each of their past 15 competitive fixtures and will be equally optimistic about advancing to the last eight.
Both teams will fancy their chances of securing a place in the next round and the reward of a headline quarter-final tie should provide more than enough incentive for either side. Expect an exciting cup clash.

Fulham V Derby County. Tuesday
Kit Symons Fulham have enjoyed a phenomenal upturn in fortunes since binning former boss Felix Magath and they could further underline that feeling by beating Championship leaders Derby at Craven Cottage.
Fulham have now climbed out of the relegation zone and the momentum is truly with the Cottagers. However, they will be in for a difficult test against a Rams side that has fired just one blank in its last 14 matches.
Steve McClaren’s side are preforming brilliantly right now, but will be determined to bounce back from Saturday’s shock loss to Wigan. That could inspire them to put on a great performance in the capital as they bid to reach the quarter-final.
The home team will pose a threat, though, and are more than capable of getting on the scoresheet too.

Stoke City V Southampton. Wednesday
The last selection in our treble comes from Wednesday’s clash at the Britannia Stadium as Stoke City meet Southampton for the second time in a matter of days.
Saturday’s clash at St Mary’s might have ended 1-0 to the Saints but we’re expecting the goals to flow on a far more frequent basis here, especially as the winner will be just two rounds away from Wembley.
After the phenomenal start that Southampton have enjoyed under Ronald Koeman, it would be no surprise to see the Saints churn out another fantastic result here. However, the Potters are a very tough side to face at the Britannia and will be equally confident about their chances.
Whoever concedes first will have to chase the game but both sides have enough quality to hit back should they be losing. It’s a difficult contest to predict the outcome of, but we are expecting both teams to score.
